Hear American History come alive as Howard Burnham, renowned character actor, portrays controversial Revolutionary War hero Thomas Sumter, also known as the Carolina Gamecock, for whom Fort Sumter (of Civil War fame) is named.

 

No registration required. This free program is being hosted through the collaboration of the Matthews Historical Foundation and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. This event has been made possible through the generous support from our donors, The Morris Family.
